The exotic garden of Eze is a garden that deserves! Its vegetation is spread over a rocky outcrop which is reached by a path that winds at the surface of the rock, under the hot sun of the South. Arriving at the summit, we can then contemplate the Mediterranean, becoming aware of the 429 meters that separate us from its blue waters. You should know that the primary vocation of the place is military defense and not gardening. From these heights, it has always been possible to monitor the assailant. However, from the old medieval site of the 12th century, only ruins remain, time and wars having served their purpose. It was not until the 1950s that the destination of Eze even changed. It's decided, it will now be a peaceful place dedicated to the discovery of plants and more particularly succulents from around the world. Cacti, aloes, agaves and other prickly pears have thus found a welcoming land in the Mediterranean, for their greatest pleasure and that of visitors.
