** The history of the Jardin des Lianes began in 1986, after its owners, former city dwellers and self-taught gardeners, decided to settle in Chériennes, in Pas-de-Calais. Once the house is built, Eliane and Guy Lebel can finally devote themselves to their dream and their shared passion. Their mission: to draw over the years a country garden with the air of an English park. First, priority is given to the surroundings of the house and to the establishment of trees and shrubs which must serve as a background and shelter for future plantings. In 20 years, it is then nearly 450 varieties of English roses and 250 varieties of perennials that take place on the 5,400 m2 of land. Something to delight the eye of visitors, especially in May-June when the roses are in full bloom! **

The Liana Garden First planted, the trees have now grown and allow the Liana Garden to display a mature appearance. All these collection trees and shrubs have been selected for their size, shape or color, with gardeners admitting a preference for variegated foliage, capable of lighting up a decor and bringing color even in the absence of flowers. .

Le jardin des Lianes Over the years, the garden has been enriched with numerous constructions. In the background, we can see the dovecote built by Eliane and Guy from salvaged stones. Our gardeners also have a sense of building!

Le jardin des Lianes The architectural elements are perfectly inscribed in the landscape, and it is by walking in the garden, at the bend of an alley, that one discovers each one.

The creeper garden

Le jardin des Lianes In addition to plant diversity, respect for animal diversity contributes to the ecological balance of the garden. In total, nearly 40 nest boxes have been installed to encourage the multiplication of many bird species. Insects are also welcome in the Jardin des Lianes which offers them a quality shelter which multiplies the nooks and crannies where to winter quietly.

The creeper garden

Le jardin des Lianes "It is a blue hut, leaning against the beds of roses ...". In these very rural areas, everything is done to limit weeding: it is less work for our gardeners, and the pledge of a more natural look! The soil is thus protected from "weeds" by means of ground cover such as geraniums, llamas, ajugas and strawberries.

Le jardin des Lianes The Jardin des Lianes naturally invites you to relax thanks to its numerous pergolas under which small garden furniture takes place. Thus installed, one can contemplate and dream!
